Shepherd's Promise School began as Belinda's vision, or as she would tell you, part of God's vision. As an elementary school teacher in the Greenville County School District for many years, Belinda saw first hand the effects poverty has on a child's capacity to learn. She wanted to build a school that would allow her to focus more on what each child needs to succeed, as well as allow her staff to focus on issues affecting students' families.
Belinda says "I love teaching! I love walking into my classroom in the morning to see little faces ready to talk with me. I love witnessing the feeling of accomplishment. I love watching new friendships blossom, and heroism at work in our room everyday. I love guiding little minds in the direction of achievement while boasting humility. I love knowing that no two children are alike and am thankful that God made us this way."
Belinda holds a Master's degree in Education from the University of Phoenix, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Memphis. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and three children, and hiking with their cuddly, chubby pitbull, Otis.

Her previous experience includes work and internships with a Superior Court judge in Georgia, the Law Office of Stephen Henry, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Legal Affairs Office at the University of Georgia.
She is a member of the Greenville County Bar and has also served on the board of the Upstate Mediation Center. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Georgia.
Tamika says, "I realize the importance of early childhood education and how it can have lasting affects into adulthood, so I'm excited to be involved with an organization that will positively contribute in that regard. I work closely with families who have experienced trauma and see the affects that trauma has on children. Early childhood education is a perfect opportunity to pour into children who are faced with financial, educational or family obstacles and may not otherwise get the support that's needed. Teachers are among the most significant supporters of the children that I serve in my current career and I believe it will be the same at Shepherd's Promise."
Tamika enjoys spending time with her blended family, which includes six children, likes to unwind by watching mindless television, traveling and reading.
Daniel has served as an elementary school teacher at Brushy Creek Elementary and East North Street Academy in Greenville. He also worked with the National Children's Defense Fund through Freedom School Partners in Charlotte, N.C.
He joins the SPS board because, "My life completely revolves around helping others. As Marian Wright Edelman put it, 'Service is the rent we pay for being. It is the very purpose of life, and not just something that we do in our spare time.' I have been blessed with numerous role models in my life who have been exemplars of this for me. I have seen what genuine support can do for someone and now I wish to pass that love of others on as much as I can in everything that I do."
Daniel holds Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and an Interdisciplinary Minor in Latin American Studies from Furman University. He's currently working towards a Masters of Arts in Literacy Education from Furman.
He enjoys the theatre scene in Greenville, is a lover of learning and reading, likes to relax with running or writing, and embraces what life offers me each day with the most open of arms.
Molly says, "My heart is early childhood education. I understand the critical difference that quality early childhood experiences have on the rest of a child's life.
